As we were driving through a state park yesterday, we stumbled upon a frozen lake complete with people skating and ice fishing. As someone born and raised in Texas, I was left awestruck-- it was a scene out of a movie. We parked and let the dogs sniff around a bit while we took in the scene. We didn't stick around long, but I snapped some photos and the excursion inspired me to share some of my favorite photos from winter. I'm still absolutely delighted when it starts snowing-- I'm not sure how long it'll take for me to get used to it, but I'm happy for the simple things that bring me joy.
